3674669 - "You are not allowed to change the value of attribute Secured for this object Currency. " occurs when change permission category in Currency object

Symptom

  • Currency object becomes secured in 2H 2025 release.
  • The permission category is MDF Foundation Object. 
  • Error pops up when trying to change it to not secured or change to another permission category:
  • "You are not allowed to change the value of attribute Secured for this object Currency. "

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log in to the instance and navigate to "Configure Object Definitions" for the Currency object.
  2. Make a correction to the object.
  3. Change the permission category to "Miscellaneous Permissions."
  4. Attempt to save the changes, and the error message appears. 

Resolution

  • This issue will be fixed via patch PTCH-48342 (2H 2025 P4) which is scheduled for 11th Nov 2025.
