Symptom
After using the API WarehouseStockTransferPartialReceiptAdvice_in to post partial goods receipts, there are two situations:
- The inbound delivery is automatically marked as completed when there are no discrepancies between the original inbound delivery quantity and the goods receipts posted.
- The inbound delivery is not completed when differences exist between the original inbound delivery quantity and the goods receipts posted.
The Stock Transfer Final Receipt Advice API should be called always or only when there are differences?
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Resolution
The ERP system expects that the “Stock Transfer Final Receipt Advice” will ALWAYS be sent by the 3PL warehouse after finishing processing an inbound delivery.
In most cases the inbound delivery will have goods movement status “Completed” after the complete quantity has been received. In some situations, however, this is not the case, in particular when a batch split has been done. So ensure that this is always done, even if the complete delivery quantity has been delivered.
