3675016 - Configuration already attached to quote

Symptom

  • Receiving the error message: "The configuration you're trying to add appears to already exist in the quote. Review the quote's content and, if necessary, begin a new configuration. Contact SAP CPQ support for additional help."

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the same configuration in multiple tabs.
  2. Execute the "Add item to quote" action in the first tab successfully.
  3. Trigger the "Add item to quote" action again from the second tab.

Cause

Multiple tabs opened with the same product configuration causes such validation message.

Resolution

It should be avoided to use multiple tabs for the same product configuration, as this is not supported by CPQ. All actions related to configuration should be completed in a single tab to prevent any validation errors.
