3675280 - Error: SRT_CORE253: Processing by BgRFC - when restarting messages stuck in processing status in SRT_MONI

Symptom

I am experiencing an issue where documents coming from SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing are getting stuck.

  • Purchase Requisitions are stuck in Ordering status in SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing.
  • In my ERP system, the corresponding inbound messages in transaction SRT_MONI are stuck in Processing status.
  • When I attempt to restart these messages, the action fails with the error: SRT_CORE253: Processing by BgRFC.
