Symptom
When creating or updating a worker employment, the following error message is raised:
"Cost center <Cost Center> does not exist on <Date>."
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the Manage Workforce app.
- Search for the worker.
- Click on the worker record to open it.
- Click on the Edit button.
- Under the Work Agreements section, click on the Create button.
- Set the Start Date, End Date, Company Code and Cost Center.
- Click on the Apply button.
Cause
The Cost Center validity which is being assigned to the Work agreement is not fully overlapping with the Work Agreement validity.
Resolution
In order to assign a cost center to a work agreement, the same needs to be valid for the entire period of the agreement.
