3675835 - Date dimension no longer mandatory as driving dimension in data locking configuration for SAP Analytic Cloud models

Symptom

  • Prior to release 2025.21 (2025 QRC4 release), when configuring data locking in a planning model both Version and Date dimensions were mandatory.
  • The Date dimension can now be removed as a driving dimension in the setup of Data Locking for SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) planning models.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud version 2025.21 and later

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open any SAC native planning model with Data Locks enabled.
  2. Attempt to configure Data Locking and observe that the Date dimension can be removed as a driving dimension.

Cause

  • This change was implemented to support more flexible data locking scenarios.
