3675865 - Error “Could not determine plant from service org ABC or sales order X” in Customer Projects in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • Issue occurs during the billing process of a customer project when using service organization X in company code Y.
  • The service organization is not visible in the billing process.
  • The issue does not occur when the company code number is equal to the sales organization number.
  • messages appear:

    • “The plant could not be determined for item 1.”

    • “The document cannot be saved.”

    • “Sales document cannot be saved (see log).”
