Symptom

When attempting to do an LMS-OCN Integration with Third Party tool, Category ID is not updated automatically

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Cause

Categories are not automatically assigned to Open Content Network (OCN) courses.

Resolution

  • Categories must be added manually to OCN courses or in bulk via a connector.
  • Avoid using the Item connector for OCN items as it may cause courses to become out of sync due to incorrect utilization, which cannot be reversed.
  • Configure default settings for OCN courses, such as item type, completion status, and auto-record attribute rating on item completion.
