3675949 - Enable Enhanced People Search in the Global Header and the Directory Search option is grayed out.

• "Enable Enhanced People Search in the Global Header and the Directory Search" under Company System and Logo Settings is grayed out.
• Prerequisites of enabling the feature ""Enable Enhanced People Search in the Global Header and the Directory Search".
• Delay in user search results may occur after opting for Enhanced People Profile Search prior to the 1H 2026 release, with configuration changes potentially taking up to 3 hours to take effect. 

• SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Scenario 1: 

1. Navigate to Company System and Logo Settings.
2. Search for "Enable Enhanced People Search in the Global Header and the Directory Search".
3. Observe that the toggle is grayed out.

Scenario 2: 

1. Log in to the instance with Admin permissions.
2. Locate the option “Enable Company Onboarding for Enhanced People Search.”
3. Click to enable this switch — observe that the toggle can be clicked by the customer.
4. Notice that the onboarding process fails in the backend and does not complete successfully.
5. Now check the option “Enable Enhanced People Search in the Global Header and the Directory Search.”
6. Observe that this option remains greyed out and cannot be enabled.

"Enable Company Onboarding for Enhanced People Search" is disabled.

IMPORTANT NOTE: 

Customers who have opted in to the Enhanced People Search feature may experience a delay of up to several  hours (~4-5 hours) for configuration changes related to People Search to take effect prior to the 1H 2026 release. This is a new known issue since March 16 , 2026 ; if customers who opt-in to the Enhanced People Search feature change the people search-related configurations before the 1H2026 release date, there may be a latency of up to 4 hours for the changes to take effect and will be fixed by 1H 2026.

Prerequisites:

1. Enable "Enable Company Onboarding for Enhanced People Search".
2. Enable Solr People Search (requires Role-based Permission)  from provisioning  

Once enabled, the toggle for "Enable Enhanced People Search in the Global Header and the Directory Search" will be available.

NOTE: The onboarding process can take several hours, depending on the size of your workforce.

After enabling the onboarding option, it became greyed out and can't be disabled.

Important Note: "Enable Solr People Search (requires Role-Based Permission)" switch setting is also a prerequisite for the Enhanced People Search onboarding, which need to be enabled from Provisioning.As a customer, you don't have access to Provisioning. To complete tasks in Provisioning, contact your implementation partner or Account Executive. For any non-implementation tasks, contact Technical Support.
