3676449 - Termination Restricted One Day Before Another Employee’s Activation in Same Position

• The system restricts termination when the effective date is one day prior to another employee’s activation for the same position for adding a new employee with a Fixed-Term Contract.
• Error message: "You have selected a position that may only be assigned to one employee at a time. An employee has already been assigned on mm/dd/yyyy. Please choose another position."

1. Add a new employee for a fixed-term contract with a hire date of August 1, 2025, and a contract end date in the future (e.g., December 30, 2025).
2. Add another employee for the same position with a hire date of January 1, 2025, and a termination date of July 31, 2025.
3. Observe the error message: "You have selected a position that may only be assigned to one employee at a time. An employee has already been assigned on 08/01/2025. Please choose another position."
4. Change the termination date to July 30, 2025, and observe that the system allows the employee to be hired in the same position without errors.

WORKAROUND: add a transition period in Position Management Settings.

1. Go to Position Management Settings;
2. Transition Period tab;
3. Use transition period = yes;
4. Set the period with the desired unit;
