Symptom

  • Error message AU083 "Asset is incomplete and has to be completed (Message no. AU083)" encountered during the attempt to close fiscal year for a company code in the asset accounting module using transaction AJAB.
  • The incompletion is due to a missing account assignment object, like eg. business area data (shall be used as an example further on).
