3676710 - Error "No storage bins found for activity area . Check the assignment" (/SCWM/LC1090) shows up when creating physical inventory document

Symptom

No search results are returned when creating physical inventory document for a specific storage bin in Create Inventory Documents - Cycle Counting app with the following error message：

No storage bins found for activity area . Check the assignment (Message No. /SCWM/LC1090)

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Cause

The issue may be due to unassigned storage bins for activity INVE or blocked stock in the storage bin.

Resolution

Ensure the stock in the storage bin is not blocked, for example by an "IA" indicator or open warehouse tasks requiring confirmation.

Next, check the following configuration settings related to the physical inventory process.

  1. Go to configuration activity 104437 - Define Sort Sequence for activity Area and assign the activity "INVE" with sequence no. 
  2. Go to Sort Storage Bins app to create the bin sorting.
  3. Go to Display Storage Bins app to check if there is an entry for "INVE" under "Activity Areas".
