3676832 - Submit Button Not Displayed for Single Record Approval in Legacy Week Timesheet UI

Symptom

In the legacy week timesheet, when an employee records an attendance type that uses single record approval, the submit button does not appear in the UI. "Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the employee timesheet and record an attendance time type that has single record approval assigned.
  2. Observe that the submit button is missing.

Cause

The attendance type with single record approval assigned is configured as the first attendance entry in the time profile.

Resolution

  1. Please either select a different attendance type and then switches back to the original one, or adjust the order of the affected attendance time type to ensure it is not the first defaulted entry in the timesheet UI.
  2. The submit button will then appear as expected.

Note: When using flexible approval period time sheet based on the new data model, it is expected that the ‘Submit’ and ‘Withdraw’ options will NOT be displayed for time recordings. This is an enhancement listed in You Spoke, We Listened: Introducing Improvements to Single Record Approval.
