Symptom
"You do not have permission to create/edit the goal or group goal" pop-up error is displayed, when team goal co-owners are editing a shared Team goal.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals
Reproducing the Issue
- Login as a shared team goal co-owner.
- Open the goal plan with Team goals enabled.
- Click "Manage Team Goals" button.
- Click "Edit" and change the shared team goal.
- Observe the error message: "You do not have permission to create/edit the goal or group goal".
- Click "Close" at the error message and save the changes.
- The Team Goal is saved.
Cause
The error is caused by no RBP permissions of the co-owner to view Team Goal Owner's goal plan.
Resolution
To remove the error, please add RBP permissions for team goals co-owners to be able to view the affected goal plan of the Team Goal owner: target population of the Role, giving permissions to View the affected Goal plan, should include Team goal's owners.
In future releases the missing permissions error will be enhanced not to save the goal after clicking "Close" button.
