Symptom
-
The Onboarding process is not getting archived, even though all related tasks have been completed.
-
The Process Status remains in an open state instead of being marked as Completed.
@Support Engineer please see logs in internal Memo.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding
Reproducing the Issue
- Ensure archival rule and job are in place.
- Run the process closure job.
- Verify that the process is not getting archived or marked as completed.
Cause
- Offboarding was enabled in the system earlier and later disabled. During that period, some Offboarding processes were created.
- The job is failing because Offboarding is currently disabled, and the system is attempting to archive those Offboarding processes, which leads to an error.
Resolution
1. Identify the Offboarding processes using Integration Center with the filter:
- Process Type = Offboarding.
2. Manually close each process:
- Navigate to Manage Data > Process.
- Search using the Process ID.
- Open the record > Take Action.
- Set Process Status to Completed.
- Set Task Status to Closed.
3. After closing all Offboarding processes manually, rerun the job to archive Onboarding processes.
4. Alternatively, temporarily re-enable Offboarding so that the job can automatically archive the pending Offboarding processes.
