Symptom

When using a keyboard for navigation and pressing "tab" to go through focusable elements on the cookies banner, the focus then moves outside of the cookies pop-up/modal.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the Career Site
  2. Click on the cookies pop-up
  3. Use the "tab" key to navigate through the buttons within the modal
  4. Observe that the focus moves out of the cookies modal and back to the main career site page instead of keeping focus within the cookies modal

Cause

Resolution

This behaviour is intended as per the decision made by Product Management to ensure that user focus is not trapped within the Cookie Manager modal. This allows users to continue using the site without being forced to select their cookie preferences.
