3676941 - Mandatory field behavior in latest edit and history UI - 2H2025

With the latest edit and history UI enabled in the latest people profile, mandatory fields will include both an 'X' and dropdown option, whereas non-mandatory fields will only have the option to clear ('X').

1. Go to HRIS portlet currently supported by the latest edit and history UI e.g., Job Information portlet.
2. Observe difference in edit UI for mandatory and non-mandatory fields.
3. 

Expected behavior.

• Mandatory fields do not have an X since the X resets the field to empty/no selection.
• Non-mandatory
  • If there is a value in the field (other than no selection) then the X is present to allow clearing the field value.
  • If there is no value selected, i.e. the value is empty = no selection, then the X disappears because there is nothing to clear.

This is working by design.

In the latest edit and history UI, for dropdown fields, mandatory fields will only include the dropdown whilst non-mandatory fields will include an 'X'.
