3677120 - Adjusting <btchbookg> Tag value in Outbound Payment Files in Cash and Liquidity Management

Symptom

  • The  <btchbookg> tag in the Outbound Payment file ID XXX is set to "false", while the expected value is "true" (where XXX is the Payment File ID).
  • It seems that there is no setting in the system to change the tag value directly; it seems to be that adjustments can only be made in the XML file.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the Liquidity Management work center.
  2. Access the Outbound Files view.
  3. Display all Outbound Files and search for file ID XXX.
  4. Highlight file ID XXX from Bank Name ABC (where ABC is the Bank Name) and select actions (gear icon) to download the file.
  5. Open the file in an XML Editor.
  6. Observe that the <btchbookg> tag in file ID XXX is set to "false", while expected would be set to "true".

Cause

There is a setting in the system to adjust this value: The Discrepancy in the tag value arises due to the Configuration in the "Batch booking for ISO20022 Payments" field within the Bank Account tab in Bank ABC.

Resolution

  1. Navigate to the Payment Management work center.
  2. Access the Payment Monitor view
  3. Search for Payment Document ID YYY (where YYY is the Payment Document ID, find the Payment Document ID YYY in the XML File).
  4. Under the Details section, select "from" and click on the Bank ABC to open the Bank Account Details.
  5. Navigate to the "Bank Accounts" tab.
  6. Locate the "Batch booking for ISO20022 payments" field on the right side of the screen.
  7. Tick the checkbox to ensure the tag value is set to "true" in the outbound payment file.
