Symptom
After the 2H 2025 release, the date format for new record input in HRIS effective dated entities changed from "dd MMM yyyy" to "d MMM yyyy"
"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
- Access Employee Profile.
- Select HRIS Entity e.g. Personal Information
- Create a new record
- Observe the date format displayed for new record input
Previous format in PP3
Cause
- The change in the date format is an expected behaviour introduced in the 2H 2025 release.
- The updated format "d MMM yyyy" eliminates the need for a leading zero in the day field.
- The single "d" in the new format indicates that the day does not require a leading zero (e.g., "08" is now displayed as "8").
Resolution
No further action is required as this behaviour is by design.
