Symptom
While terminating or updating job information of a employee, system raise the following warning: “The number of working hours and days per week does not match with work schedule of the employee. Do you want to proceed?”.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Time Off
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to employee profile.
- Update job information or terminate employee.
- Save.
- See the warning message raised.
Cause
This warning occurs due to a discrepancy between: The Standard Weekly Hours and Days per Week fields defined in the Job Information and the Work Schedule assigned to the employee in the Time Information.
E.g., if the employee profile has Job Information set as Standard Weekly Hours = 40 and Working Days per Week = 5, and the the work schedule is configured in manage data only 2 day with 8 hours each day.
Resolution
To fix this warning please go to Manage Data > Work Schedule > Search for the Work Schedule, and configure the working days accordingly to match the job information data.
- Navigate to Manage Data > Work Schedule.
- Search for the relevant Work Schedule.
- Configure the working days in the Work Schedule to match the job information data.
- E.g., Standard Weekly Hours = 40 and Working Days per Week = 5, and Work schedule with 5 days with 8 working hours each.
