Symptom
The Postal Code maintained in the Plant Address’s is displayed in the XML of the eDocuments for Mexico, instead of the Company's Postal Code.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the eDocument Cockpit App.
- In the Source Document, enter ABC (ABC represents the Source Document ID).
- Mark the eDocument ABC.
- Select Display -> Display/Preview XML.
The Postal Code maintained in the Plant Address’s is displayed in the XML
Cause
Along with the version 2508, new features were introduced which involves some changes for the determination of the mapping of postal codes in the XML of eDocument from Mexico.
- The XML fields LugarExpedicion (postal code) and Fecha (date and time of expedition) are now filled with the Plant Address’s Postal Code and Time Zone, as long as both fields are provided for the Plant Address.
- If either the Postal Code or Time Zone is missing from the Plant Address, the system will automatically use the data from the Company Code address instead.
- For generic RFCs, the DomicilioFiscalReceptor (postal code) field in the XML will match the value in LugarExpedicion (postal code).
Resolution
This is a standard system behavior.
In case the Postal Code and Fecha fields are required to be derived from the Company Address, then it is required to leave the Postal Code and/or Time Zone fields empty for the Plant Address.
As an alternative solution, the Postal Code and Address can be changed in the XML through customizing. Refer to the Community Blog BAdI EDOC_ADAPTOR_CLOUD.
