3677259 - Understanding rounding behavior for numbers exceeding the configured decimal places in SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning (SAC)

• The current configuration for a measure in the model is set to 4 decimals.
• When entering a value such as 0.01239 in the table, the system rounds it to 0.123.
• When entering a value such as -0.01239 in the table, the system rounds it to -0.124. 
• The rounded value differs between the positive values and the negative values, and clarification is needed regarding the behavior. 

SAP Analytics Cloud

1. Log in to SAP Analytics Cloud and navigate to the relevant model.
2. Set the configuration for a measure to display up to 4 decimal places.
3. Go to a planning enabled story.
4. Double click a data cell.
5. Input a value exceeding 4 decimal places, such as 0.01239 or -0.01239, in the table.
6. Observe the different values.

The system uses a floor-like rounding strategy for numbers exceeding the configured decimal places. This ensures that the rounded value is always less than or equal to the original value.

This behavior is functioning as designed.
