3677647 - Application error when adding Global Assignment for employees with dependents after release - 2H 2025

• An application error occurs when attempting to add a Global Assignment for users with dependents.
• Error message: "An application error occurred. Please try again later, or notify support (with the error information of errorID=XXXX, timestamp=XXXX, and the version information from the current screen) if the issue keeps occurring."

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Global Assignment

Prerequisite:

Field "is-accompanying-dependent" is disabled in the Dependents Information under Manage Business Configuration.

Steps:

1. Go to any employee who has dependents maintained in the profile.
2. Add: Global Assignment Details 
3. Fill all the details and attempt to save the Global Assignment record.
4. Observe the application error message.

• Engineering team has done code fix and patch is tentatively planned on 27th Nov 2025. This KBA will be updated once patch has been confirmed. 
• As a best practice, we would recommend to enable this field "is-accompanying-dependent" which will be visible only within the Global Assignment context.
• Please bookmark this KBA for further updates.

Workaround

Please import the Global Assignments via Import Employee data.
