3677739 - Issue with Bulk Download of documents using Manage Documents tool in SAP SuccessFactors

Symptom

  • When attempting to perform a mass export of onboarding documents using the Manage Documents tool, no documents are downloaded despite successful logs.
  • The documents are visible in the Manage Documents tool but are not exported to the SFTP destination.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Core

Reproducing the Issue

1. Log in to the instance.

2. Navigate to the Manage Documents tool.

3. Click the cloud-download icon button then select "Request New Download" for mass export of documents.

4. Set the filter criteria, including a location with a comma (e.g., "Manila, PH").

5. Execute the export.

6. Verify the SFTP destination; no documents are downloaded despite successful logs.

Cause

The issue is caused by the presence of a comma in the location name, which is not handled properly by the attachment export job.

Resolution

This is already a known issue by our Engineering team. The patch to fix is planned to be deployed on 2511p4:

  • Preview: November 11 2025
  • Production: November 14 2025

Workaround:

As a temporary workaround, you can opt with temporarily removing the comma (,) on the Location Name. 

  1. Go to Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structures. 
  2. Select Location. 
  3. Search for the Location you want to edit: Manila, PH
  4. Click Take Action > Make Correction. 
  5. On the Location Name, temporarily remove the comma on the Location Name (ex: Manila).  
  6. Click Save. After making the changes and ensuring it is reflecting, please do try to mass download the documents from this location - must ensure that the comma is not anymore on the Location Name when you are filtering it.
