Symptom

The system prompts for a user name and password (SAP logon screen) when creating inbound or outbound deliveries.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create an inbound delivery using transaction VL31N with a reference purchase order.
  2. Save the delivery.
  3. Observe the SAP logon screen that requiring user name and password.
  4. Cancel the pop-up message for each item in the delivery.

Cause

Due to custom logic in the BAdI implementation that refers to communication arrangement/communication scenarios that requires logon details.

Resolution

  1. Go to the APP 'Communication Arrangements'.
  2. Select the Communication Arrangement being used in your custom logic.
  3. Verify the authentication details for the Communication Scenario.
