In the Aging List for Payables report (Report ID FINDUEU04_Q0006), an Employee ID is shown as "#" (not assigned), even though he is assigned the business partner role Employee in Business Partner Data - Business Partners work center view.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to the Business Analytics work center.
2. Select the Design Reports view.
3. Open the Aging List for Payables report (Report ID FINDUEU04_Q0006).
4. Enter selection data.
5. Execute the report.
6. Add field Employee ID to Rows Fields.
7. Observe that for Supplier ABC (ABC is the Supplier ID), Employee ID is displayed as "#" (not assigned), even though he is assigned the business partner role Employee in Business Partner Data - Business Partners work center view, meaning an Employee ID exists for Supplier ABC.

The Supplier field in the report is mapped with the Multidimensional Analytical View (MDAV) object 'BPARTNER', which the system treats as reference fields. During report display, there is no control over which record to display if multiple identification type records are present in the backend database. For example, if an employee is assigned an additional identifier (such as Alternative Employee ID) in his Personnel File, the system might not be able to precisely retrieve the Employee ID in the report, since there's no control over which record to display (in this case Employee ID OR Alternative Employee ID).

To ensure that the report will be able to correctly display Employee ID, no other identification types must exist for that employee.

For example, if Alternative Employee ID is maintained in employee's Personnel File -> Employment tab -> Work Agreement sub-tab, that should be removed.

To easily visualize in the report what is the additional identification type defined for an employee, add the fields Identification Type and Additional Identifier to the Row Fields of the report.
