3677904 - Billing Element for Project Definition Incorrectly Set To "Yes" After Migration of Project with Revenue

Symptom

After the migration of a Project with Revenue via "Migrate Your Data - Migration Cockpit" app, notice the project definition has Billing Element automatically set to "Yes", even though this flag was not checked in the imported source file.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Prepare the source XML file using migration template for Project/WBS elements
  2. Use the "Migrate Your Data - Migration Cockpit" app to migrate the project
  3. Observe the "Billing Element" flag was automatically set to "Yes" for the project definition, even though the flag was marked only for lower level WBS elements

Cause

This is a known issue that occurs when migrating a Project with Revenue with "Released" status.

Resolution

A fix is developed to address this matter. The correction is planned to be delivered with CFD 2508.4 over the weekend of December 13.

Note:
This is the current planning and may be slightly changed by SAP at any time without notice.

Workarounds:

  1. Migrate the project with "Created" status via the migration cockpit
  2. After migration, release the project or update the actual dates using either the "Project Control" app or the "Mass Changes to Projects" app
