3677941 - Planned Campaigns Not Visible in Account Management

Symptom

Planned campaigns are not displayed under the Sales Data view in Account Management Work Center.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Account Management Work Center.
  2. Select Accounts View.
  3. Search for Account ABC (ABC means the Account ID).
  4. Click on Account name.
  5. Go to tab Sales.
  6. Scroll down to Campaigns.
  7. Change the filter to All Campaigns. 
  8. Open the advanced filter.
  9. Set Status = Planned.
  10. Click Go.

No campaigns are displayed, although campaign XYZ (XYZ means the Campaign Name), with status = Planned exists.  

Cause

  • The Sales Data view in Account Management Work Center is designed to display only Active campaigns.
  • Planned campaigns are in the preparation stage and not yet actionable. 
  • Cancelled campaigns are no longer relevant. 

To ensure data consistency, only active campaigns are shown at account level. 

Resolution

This is the standard system behavior in SAP Business ByDesign. 

  • Only Active campaigns are displayed in Account Management sales data.

  • Planned or Cancelled campaigns are visible in the Campaign Management view from Marketing Work Center, but not in Account Management sales data.

  • This design ensures that operational views, such as sales data, only reflect campaigns that can have follow-ups or activities linked to them. It is consistent across all SAP Business ByDesign tenants.
