Symptom
-
On the Legacy People Profile, Trend Information blocks display the expected performance and rating data.
-
After switching to the Latest People Profile, the Trend Information blocks either display no data or show incomplete records.
-
Users may notice missing ratings or empty trend cards, even though data exists in the Legacy Profile
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Profile
- SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management
Reproducing the Issue
- Log in to the system and navigate to a user’s Legacy People Profile.
- Verify that the Trend Information blocks display the expected performance or rating data.
- Switch to the Latest People Profile for the same user.
- Observe that the Trend Information blocks are empty or do not show all expected records.
Cause
The issue where Trend Information Cards display no data or incomplete records in the Latest People Profile can occur due to one or more of the following reasons:
- Content Configuration Not Maintained
The Trend Information Card is not properly configured under Configure Latest People Profile, resulting in no content being displayed. -
Insufficient Role-Based Permissions (RBP)
Users do not have the required permissions such as:-
View Overall Ratings from Forms
-
View/Edit permissions for Background rating elements
This prevents the system from displaying trend data.
-
-
Incorrect Matrix Grid Rating Scale Configuration
The defined rating scale may be invalid (for example, Desired Scale Size set to less than 2), leading to missing or inconsistent data display. -
Mismatch in Imported Trend Ratings (Min/Max Validation)
In the Latest People Profile, the system validates whether ratings fall within the defined min and max range. If Matrix Grid Rating Scale is configured, its min/max values are used otherwise, the default range matrix grid rating scale is 3 point scale.Ratings outside this range are not displayed in the Latest Profile, even though they may appear in the Legacy Profile.
If there is an inconsistency in min-max ranges:
-
Example: Rating 2 with min-max 1–3 → will display in the Latest Profile trend card
-
Rating 5 with min-max 1–3 → will not display in the Latest Profile trend card
When data is migrated from Legacy People Profile to Latest People Profile, the trend values remain the same. Hence, after migration to Latest People Profile, these ratings (that do not lie within the Min-Max range would not appear on the Latest People Profile. -
Resolution
To resolve the issue, verify and apply the following:
-
Maintain Content Configuration
- Go to Admin Center > Configure Latest People Profile > Full Profile > Performance and Goals.
- On the Trend Information card, select the pencil icon (Edit Trend Information).
- Under the Content Configuration section, configure the content to be displayed in the Trend Information cards
-
Grant Required Permissions (RBP)
-
Provide:
-
View Overall Ratings from Forms permission
-
View/Edit permissions for relevant background elements
-
-
Enable:
Allow users to view details of forms that have never been in their Inbox (if required to open all forms that are listed in Trend Information ) -
For details, please review the Performance Management implementation guide linked below.
-
-
Validate Matrix Grid Rating Scale
-
Ensure the Desired Scale Size is 2 or greater
-
-
Align Trend Import Data with Rating Scale
-
Ensure imported ratings fall within the defined min and max range in the Import Trend Information.
-
Adjust the max value accordingly (e.g., set to 5 if importing ratings like 4 or 5)
-
If recent migration of data has happened from Legacy People Profile, please cross check that the imported ratings are consistent with the min-max values.
