Symptom
When you schedule a sales order, you want to understand how the scheduling time parameters (Pick/Pack Time and Loading Time) in the schedule line are determined. This article will explain the logic behind these parameters.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Resolution
Whether the system calculates pick/pack time and loading time in the sales order can be set in Configuration Activity 102129 - Define Scheduling By Sales Document Type.
For specific delivery scheduling, if the status is set to 'on', the system automatically determines the pick/pack time and loading time for each schedule line according to the shipping point from which an item is shipped. The system uses the pick/pack time and loading time to help determine the material availability date and the loading date respectively. In this case, the default pick/pack time and loading time for a specific shipping point can be modified in Configuration Activity 102523 - Maintain Duration.
If the status is set to 'off', then the pick/pack time and loading time will not be considered.
