3678123 - Change of Visit Summary Attachment File Name in SAP Cloud for Customer Core Applications

Symptom

Rename the generated visit summary attachment file to use a customized title instead of the default "Summary.pdf".

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer core applications

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Visit work center.
  2. Search for a visit entry.
  3. Perform the action "Generate summary".
  4. Go to the Attachments tab and check the title of the generated file, which is display as "Summary.pdf".
  5. Observe the title.

Cause

Possible causes are below:

  1. The BADI "MaintainSummaryAttachmentName" cannot be used to change the name of the visit summary attachment.
  2. No implementations for this BADI exist in System, and debugging in internal systems confirmed that the BADI does not trigger for naming the visit summary.

Resolution

Renaming the generated visit summary attachment file is not supported. This is standard system behavior.
