• Validation error occurs during Job Information import when a Position becomes inactive before or during the assignment period.
• Error message displayed: "The selected Position is inactive on XX/XX/XXXX. You can either validate the Position on Manage Data page or you can select another Position., You have selected a position that is inactive on XX/XX/XXXX. Please choose another position."

Verify Position validation during Job Information Import in full purge/incremental mode:

Example: 

• Work Order Start Date: Nov 22, 2024
• Work Order End Date: Nov 22, 2026
  
  
• Job Info SCWK: Nov 22, 2024 to Nov 23, 2026
• Job Info ECWK: Nov 23, 2026 to Dec 31, 9999

1. Import Job Info record with position_X which becomes inactive on 25 Nov 2025 (during the Work Order Start and End Date) -> Validate -> Import fails due to Position validation. 

Validation Message:

• The selected position_X is inactive on 11/25/2025. You can either validate the Position on Manage Data page or you can select another Position., You have selected a position that is inactive on 11/25/2025. Please choose another position.

 2. Import Job Info record with position_Y which becomes inactive on Dec 31, 2026 (after the Work Order End Date) -> Validate -> Import is successful.

This is an enhanced validation introduced in 2505 release to ensure that the assigned Position remains active throughout the contingent worker’s employment period. 

• Ensure that the position remains active throughout the contingent worker's assignment period.
• If the position becomes inactive before or during the assignment period, select another position that is active for the entire assignment duration.
• For positions that become inactive after the contingent worker's termination or work order end date, the import will pass successfully.
