Symptom

  • Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) issue preventing certain types of requests to the OData service from functioning correctly.
  • HEAD requests are processed successfully, but GET and POST requests fail consistently.
  • Error message: "Access to XMLHttpRequest at 'https://hostname/sap/opu/odata/sap/ODATA_SERVICE_SRV/EntitySet?$format=json' from origin 'https://hostname' has been blocked by CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource."
