Symptom
- Valuation line items from Advanced Foreign Currency Valuation for reconciliation accounts are not visible in the Manage Customer Line Items or Manage Supplier Line Items apps.
- The valuation journal entries are successfully posted and visible in the Journal Entries app and Display Line Items in General Ledger but are not reflected at the customer/vendor line item level.
Environment
- SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
- Manage Customer Line Items
- Manage Supplier Line Items
Reproducing the Issue
- Execute the Advanced Foreign Currency Valuation process for Customers and Vendors.
- Verify that the valuation entries are successfully posted in the Journal Entries app.
- Open the Manage Customer Line Items or Manage Supplier Line Items app for the same business partner.
- Observe that the FCV revaluation entries are not visible in these apps.
Cause
Advanced Foreign Currency Valuation is a General Ledger process and valuation postings are created with Journal Entry Category U (Posting in General Ledger Only). These postings are not visible in subledger apps such as Manage Vendor/Customer Line Items.
Resolution
- Use General Ledger reporting apps such as Display Line Items in General Ledger to analyze Advanced Foreign Currency Valuation journal entries.
