Symptom
- When changing the value of the “isPrimary” field in the Emergency Contact portlet, the address fields appear, even though the address fields are fully deactivated in the corresponding HRIS element.
- The issue occurs both on insert and update, but only in the Latest People Profile Editing UI.
- In the legacy UI, this behavior does not occur.
- No business rules are triggering this change.

Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to an employee’s profile.
- Go to Personal Data → Emergency Contacts.
- Add a new Primary Emergency Contact or edit an existing one.
- Change the isPrimary field from No to Yes.
- Observe that the address fields appear, even though address fields are not configured in the Emergency Contact HRIS element.

Resolution
Product Engineering has completed code fix and it is planned on 2nd Dec 2025 in preview and on 4th Dec 2025 in Production environment.
