3679861 - Error "Changing the work schedule day model is not possible due to Temporary Time Information references." when running report ECTIM_TRANSFER_WSR_TO_EC

You are using report ECTIM_TRANSFER_WSR_TO_EC or transaction ECTIM_TRANSFER_WSR to transfer Work Schedule Objects from SAP ERP HCM or S/4HANA to SuccessFactors Employee Central.

One of the WorkScheduleDayModel objects being transferred is already present in EC and has already been assigned to an Employee in their Job Information.

When you attempt to transfer changes to the existing WorkScheduleDayModel, the following error appears in the results:

"Changing the work schedule day model is not possible due to Temporary Time Information references."

• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central integration to SAP Business Suite / SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central integration with SAP Human Capital Management for SAP S/4HANA
• Migration of Data from SAP ERP HCM to Employee Central Using Infoporter / Data Migration and Replication to Employee Central
• Migration of Foundation Objects to Employee Central

Currently, EC will issue the aforementioned error message if there is any Employee with a Job Information record referencing the WorkScheduleDayModel being changed.

That verification for existing references occurs both during the Upsert OData process used in the report ECTIM_TRANSFER_WSR_TO_EC and in the Manage Data tool in EC, and it is done to prevent inconsistencies from occurring due to the change.

Within the current constraints, there is no possibility to change the WorkScheduleDayModel without removing the existing references to Job Information.

The recommendation is to, instead:

1. Edit the day model in SAP HCM, using a specific start date different from the previous record.

2. Create a new record for the work schedule rule in SAP HCM, using the same start date of the new day model record.

As the start date is used to compose the external code that identifies each WorkScheduleDayModel, this will effectively create a new object different from the previous one already in use, which can then be updated in the references of the Job Information that were referring the previous one.
