3680025 - Intermittent login failures due to incorrect port connections in SAP Business Client

Symptom

  • Users experience intermittent login failures when accessing sap system through SAP Business Client.
  • There is no issue if the system login connects via SAP GUI directly. 
  • In system configurations involving a Web Dispatcher and multiple application server instance.
  • Error message displayed: "partner 'xxx' not reached. WSAECONNREFUSED: Connection refused." when launching SAP GUI transactions.
  • Connection attempts are made to incorrect port numbers that do not correspond to dispatcher ports on the application servers.
