3680601 - DB13 backup job fails on error "/bin/sh: which: line 1: syntax error: unexpected end of file" and "/bin/sh: error importing function definition for `which'"

Symptom

After RHEL OS upgrade or patch to RHEL8, SAP transaction DB13 job fails. From BR* Tools log, the following lines were found:

/bin/sh: which: line 1: syntax error: unexpected end of file
/bin/sh: error importing function definition for `which'

BR*Tools job fails due to those errors.

Environment

Oracle DB standalone server on RHEL8.
