Symptom
Absence Leave Case Management provides a means of viewing leave balances in the form of a graph. Some do not care for the graph view. Additionally, FMLA is not, technically, a bank as we tend to think of it. It is an allowance, and it is expressed in weeks, not hours. Some views are that employees struggle with the use of weeks and prefer to see their allowances in hours. This document provides a very simple, albeit somewhat clumsy, method to meet the request.
This article demonstrates how to provide this information using a very simple method. The drawback to the method is the need for daily accrual and clearing policies. The advantage is that no complicated configuration to mirror the FMLA balances already managed natively in Leave Case Management are required.
