3681143 - ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied during BR*Tools execution — OPS$ user missing

Symptom

During execution of BR*Tools (e.g. BRCONNECT, BRBACKUP, BRARCHIVE), the following errors appear in the log:

BR1614I Oracle client environment: HOST=<HOSTNAME>, USER=<DOMAIN>\SAPService<SID>, ORACLE_SID=<DBSID>, ORACLE_HOME=<ORACLE_PATH>

BR0301E SQL error -1017 at location BrDbConnect-3, SQL statement:

'CONNECT /'

ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
