3681260 - 'Right to Return for Higher Duty or Temporary Assignment feature' is not working with enabling Centralized Services switch on Higher Duty assignment

Symptom

Feature Right to Return for Higher Duty or Temporary Assignment under Position Management Settings is not working when switch Enable Centralized Services for Higher Duty/Temporary Assignment is enabled under Company System and Logo Settings.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central: Higher Duty Assignment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Enable switch Enable Centralized Services for Higher Duty/Temporary Assignment under Company System and Logo Settings.
  2. Go to sample profile.
  3. Take Action -> Add: Hire Duty/Temporary Assignment.
  4. Fill all details and then Submit action.
  5. Once higher duty is created, go to host assignment.
  6. Can see the position is not unassigned as per feature: Right to Return for Higher Duty or Temporary Assignment under Position Management Settings -> Right to Return.
  7. Disable switch Enable Centralized Services for Higher Duty/Temporary Assignment under Company System and Logo Settings.
  8. Do steps 2 to 5 again and can see position on host assignment is unassigned as per feature: Right to Return for Higher Duty or Temporary Assignment under Position Management Settings -> Right to Return.
