3681401 - SAPHTTP connection returns HTTP 400 when GET request contains header "Content-Length: 0"

Symptom

When testing connectivity to a target server or to a proxy using saphttp, the request fails with HTTP 400 (Bad Request).

SAPHTTP trace shows something similar as following:

GET xxxxxxxx HTTP/1.0
Host: xxxxxx
Content-Length: 0
Response Header: HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request
