Symptom

  • An issue occurs with the One Click approval feature.
  • The error message "Quote is no longer in your approval chain" is displayed when attempting to approve a quote via the One Click link.

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud CPQ

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Approver receives a 'One Click' email to approve a quote.
  2. Approver clicks the approval link provided in the email.
  3. The system displays the error message: "Quote is no longer in your approval chain."

Cause

  • Multiple user records in the User database share the same email address.
  • The One Click link was generated for a user ID not associated with the quote's actual approver.
  • As a result, the system displayed the error message: "Quote is no longer in your approval chain."

Resolution

  1. Ensure that each user in the system has a unique email address or name.
  2. Validate the changes by testing the One Click approval functionality.
