After doing the assignment of the plant to the sales area, those assignments are not visible on configuration activity 'Assign Sales Organization - Distribution Channel - Plant' (ID: 102287).

The configuration activity 'Assign Sales Organization - Distribution Channel - Plant' (ID: 102287) only shows the relationship between plant and sales organization + distribution channel.

The relationship between plant and sales area is a different type of assignment, a different relationship. Therefore, the system is behaving as expected.

To check the relationship between plant and sales area, the configuration activity 'Define Shipping Data for Plants' (ID: 101926) shows a list of plants and the sales area to which this plant is assigned is described on the details of the entry.

Note: the relationship between plant and sales area is 1:1, so the plant can only be assigned to one sales area and the sales area can only have one plant.
