Symptom

When attempting to save a Lease Contract - error message "REXCIN003 - Section code &1 does not exist" is shown.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Attempt to save a lease contract via app 'Manage Contract'.
  2. Observe the error message "REXCIN003 - Section code &1 does not exist".

Cause

  • Section code is not maintained on the lease contract, which is a mandatory field for contracts created for IN country.

Resolution

  1. Ensure that a valid 'Section Code' is maintained in SSCUI 101181 - Define Section Codes for Withholding Tax.
  2. Assign valid section code to the lease contract in app 'Manage Contract'.
  3. Apply necessary changes and save the contract.
