3681803 - Error during database connection to the Teradata database URL

Symptom

  • Unable to connect to the Teradata database from SAP PO system using the JDBC adapter.
  • Following error can be seen in message audit log,
    Error during database connection to the database URL 'jdbc:teradata://<URL>/DATABASE=<DATABSE_NAME>, TMODE=TERADATA' using the JDBC driver 'com.teradata.jdbc.TeraDriver': 'com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api. exception.MessagingException: com.sap.aii.adapter.jdbc.sql.DriverManagerException: Cannot establish connection with the registered driver. com.teradata.jdbc.TeraDriver returns com.teradata.jdbc.TeraDriver. SAPClassNotFoundException: com.teradata.jdbc.TeraDriver'.
