Symptom

  • The document type field appears empty in the Sales Ledger report for Chile.

Environment

  • SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Run the "Statutory Reports - Chile GL Reporting" app.
  2. Select the Report Name: "Chile Sales Ledger", Reporting Year: YYYY, Reporting Period: Month
  3. Select the activity name: "Chile Sales Ledger".
  4. Select the Run Number: XX.
  5. Click on the document name "Sales Ledger" to open the Preview.
  6. Observe that the Document type field is empty.

Cause

  • The Document Reference ID of the affected document is not in accordance with the Official Document Numbering for Chile.

Resolution

The report derives the document type from the Document Reference ID of the journal entry.

  1. In the Journal entry, enter the Document Reference ID in accordance with the Official Document Numbering for Chile.
  2. The format for the Document Reference ID should follow: TTT-FFFFFFFF, where:
  • TTT represents the DTE Type.
  • FFFFFFFF represents the Folio Number.
  • The character "-" is mandatory in the third or fourth position.
