3681996 - Unable to search for candidates in the search field of the onboarding dashboard

Symptom

Candidate name does not appear in the search field of the onboarding dashboard. Error message displayed: "There were no results". Candidate is visible in Onboarding Dashboard when scrolling down the list but not searchable.

Reproducing the Issue

Access the onboarding dashboard.
Attempt to search for a candidate using the search field.
Observe that the candidate's name does not appear in the search results.
Scroll down the list to locate the candidate manually.

Cause

A feature introduced by EC created a dependency on the event reason field.
This dependency affected the visibility of candidates in the people search criteria, depending on whether the event reason was associated with the candidate.
Specifically, candidates were marked as active or inactive based on the presence of the event reason field
As a result, it became necessary to pass the event reason for all candidates during the onboarding process to ensure their visibility in the search criteria.
If the event reason is not passed during initiation, the candidate cannot be searched on the Onboarding Dashboard.

Resolution

To address this issue, an Emergency Patch was implemented, to revert the EC change, which resolved the problem effectively.
The EC Feature will be introduced again in b2605, please ensure that the event reason is passed at the time of initiation for all the new hires to avoid such issues in the future.
