3682280 - Pay scale level fields in Latest People Profile is not working as expected - Employee Central

Symptom

After enabling Edit/History for Latest People Profile is noted that the Pay Scale objects are not getting filtered based on association defined.

Please note that the same works in Legacy Profile, which means that if "Enable the latest Editing and History Ul for Employee Central HRIS entities on Full Profile (Except Compensation Information)" is disabled in Configure Latest People Profile the behavior does not happen and system correctly filter the pay scale fields based on the parent value selected.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Enable the "Enable the latest Editing and History Ul for Employee Central HRIS entities on Full Profile (Except Compensation Information)" checkbox under Configure latest people profile > General Settings.
  2. Go to employee profile
  3. Edit Job Information via History. 
  4. Observe that all pay scale levels are visible in the dropdown, irrespective of parent values selected
  5. Disable the "Enable the latest Editing and History Ul for Employee Central HRIS entities on Full Profile (Except Compensation Information)" checkbox. 
  6. Observe that the History respects the associations/configurations in the old people profile view. 

Cause

This is because of missing required configuration.

Latest People Profile is more rigorous with configurations hence the configuration must be correctly set as per Guide to avoid issues.

 

Resolution

Kindly review your configuration and add field criteria in Manage Business Configuration as per guide:
Data Model Field Information for Pay Scale

Configuration should be exactly as guide explains, otherwise the system will not filter the correct values in Latest People Profile Edit/History mode.
