3682303 - Missing indexes in database tables GVD_SGASTAT and EDOPROCSPINTDET in SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise

Symptom

  • From the EWA report alerts for missing indexes such as GVD_SGASTAT~0 and EDOPROCSPINTDET~00.
  • GVD_SGASTAT~0: Index is missing from the database. `sp_help` confirms no indexes. Duplicate entries exist in the table's key fields (SNAPSHOT_ID, INST_ID, POOL, NAME).
  • EDOPROCSPINTDET~00: `sp_helpindex` indicates that an index named EDOPROCSPINTDET~0 already exists in the database. This index is unique and covers MANDT, PROCESS, VERSION, PROCSTEP, EDOC_TYPE, SOURCE_TYPE, STEP_VARIANT. The EWA alert states ~00 is missing, and application-side duplicates in client 000 are inconsistent with the database's actual state.
